Bumblebee and Bulldog...
My kids thought with the bulldog connection already established with the MINI brand, that it would be a suitable name if our car was a Transformer.
So what do you think? Who has the better stripes?

Hello All!
Hello. I am a brand new MINI owner! I ordered a shiny new black Countryman Cooper yesterday! I've wanted a MINI for quite some time now and I am so happy to finally be getting one. I did have to hold back on many options in order to fit it into my budget but I am so happy with what I will be getting.
I'm hoping some of you can help me with some questions I have. Because I have a more basic model, there are some features I am not sure will be on my car. First, I did not purchase the Bluetooth/Ipod feature or the Mini Connected but I was wondering if I will still have a USB input? From what I understand I can still play my Ipod through the auxiliary but it will not charge and I won't be able to control it through the steering wheel/stereo. I was trying to figure out if I need to buy one of those y-cable things or would that be useless for my set up?
Also, does anyone know if ambient lighting is standard even on the basic Cooper Countryman model? Not a necessity of course but a super cool feature.
I'm sure I will have many other questions so I greatly appreciate any help! Thanks and nice to be a part of the MINI clan!

Thank you so much. I will check out that thread. Glad to hear about ambient lighting. My Countryman is a 2012 unfortunately. Cool that Bluetooth will be standard though. Thanks again!
I just want to add one thing. Satellite radio is no longer standard. It is optional.
Ambient lighting is standard on all models. It took us 3 months to figure out what we needed and made sure it was within our budget. I gave up a couple of things to get the actual necessities. sport seats, cold weather package and I couldn't go without the HK sound system what a difference over the base. If you haven't ordered it, think about upgrading either after market or there is a dealer installed alpine system.
Now comes the hard part the wait. Be patient when it comes you will forget all it.

Congrats! I just picked up my base CM last week and really like it. Like you, I had a budget to meet and kept it very simple. Holler with any questions while you're agonizing for it to hit the States.
He's wonderful and I love the name!

I should have taken a pic when I parked next to a yellow Camaro last week.
Thanks guys!
Thanks! We just ordered custom plates too! Sheldon was taken, so we had to get 'SHELDDN', but with the California plates, the D and O look very similar, so it'll be close! Now, to see which plates come in first, the ones from the car purchase, or the vanity plates! LOL!
Thanks! If you can't tell, I like to take pictures...
Especially of my vehicles!

Here's my new (to me) Mini. It's a 2011 Countryman S All4 with 5800 miles. It was loaded with leather lounge seats, HK, Xenons, homelink, comfort access, automatic climate control, cold weather package and sunroof, with manual transmission. I'm so glad to be driving a stick again after 3 years in an automatic!
