Hi all I have occasionally visited NAM over the past 3-4 years because of my husbands obsessive MINI ownership (which is contagious) I have been to our dealer several times with husband, and to the Dragon a few times.

Sorry I probably don't know where this topic belongs!

We test drove a MINI on Monday at our local dealer, to see what the 07 was like. We had to leave some contact info. - address and phone number. I left my cell number as there's a chance I might want to get a MINI someday.

This morning I got a call on my cell from 888-479-7225. It went to voice mail but they didn't leave any, so I tried calling it back and it's just dead space. A quick Google on this number pulled up this: http://whocalled.us/lookup/8884797225

If you read some of the 96 comments, it appears that this is some consolidated dealership system that lots of dealers use, including BMW. However, the fact that they seem to repeatedly call people's cell phones and say nothing, makes me sorry I left my phone number. I can understand why they hang up if they get your voice mail, but it would be courteous of them to leave a message. Apparently, if you answer it right away you might get lucky and get a survey, but some people got nothing. I have not given this phone number to any other car dealerships except our local MINI place.

Do you guys usually get your survey with no trouble?

 

I suspect it is an automated dialling system, it calls you and lots of other people and the only one who gets a person to talk to is the 1st to answer, every one else gets silence. Used to happen a lot in the UK but some legislation has bene passed to prevent it.

I hate those things. They are so insensitive to not leave word of why they called in the first place.
