Yeah, I don't have ANY trouble getting the car sideway at the autocross events I've attended, but it's still too scary (and dangerous) to attempt on the streets.

Wow, that looks very tight. It's almost like he's playing a videogame and just passing everyone. No understeer, it's just doing what the driver tells it.

I'm on the same boat. About a year away from getting a new car, but I'm trying to decide between the JCW MINI or the EVOX. So far I'm liking the MINI more, because it's simpler and more of a drivers car.
