I bought used...04 JCW 32K miles $22K and some change. Never thought I would pay more than $20K for a car, but I saw it, thought it was a deal, and splurged. Don't know if it was a good deal, I hate the payments, not sure of the value of the purchase, do not know if it was a wise move, but **** is it fun to drive!

 

I bought used... '04 MCS w/ 25k miles (Oct '06) $21,500. Indi Blue w/ white roof-stripes-wheels, Leather Seats (Panther Black/Lapis Blue), Premium pkg, Sport pkg, Interior surfaces in Silver, Park distance control, and Harmon Kardon. Immaculately maintained by a British gal.

Was originally going to buy a new '06, but I was kinda late at getting the ball rolling. All the dealers I spoke to said I wouldn't be able to get an order in on time, and I could not find what I wanted in stock at these dealerships.

Then one day I found an '04 MCS on craigslist with most all the options I wanted (missing cold weather package), and in a color I liked better than the Hyper Blue I was originally going to buy. Made an offer, and now I'm the happy owner of a used MCS. NO regrets - absolutely LOVE the car. I don't think I've ever smiled so much in my entire life!

I've had two '04s (a MC and a S) as well as the two '06s I've got now. All were purchased new.

Bought mine new. In the old days I might not have owned them long, but owned them first! (I just had a thing for new and improved!)

 

Used? You couldn't find a used one back then. FWIW you could barely find a new one. Ordered Aug 02, delivered April 03.

 

bought my 03 used early last year. 15,000 miles for 18k. good stuff.

 

Nobody in NAMM actually OWNS a Mini. We just sit around online and talk about them.

06 MC new in 11/05. Sold in 4/06 due to changing family transportation needs. Went 7 months without a MINI, couldn't stand it any more, bought Basil 11/06 and all is right with the world again!

 

Got my new 06 in Nov 05. It's the best car I've ever had!!

Ordered my BRG/W 06 MCSa in October took delivery in November. 9 Miles on the clock now have 3598. Love every minute of driving KPMINI. Very first new car.

I had given up on finding a decent used MINI at a good price - I was looking at a used VW bug convert. for the wife at a Honda dealer and in the back lot my wife saw a black mini -- well to make a long story short, after HOURS of haggleing with the dealer I drove it home

Wifey now drives a Denali XL.......what can I say

 

My very first, a 1959 Morris Mini Minor, was used, and I, in a moment of sheer youthful ignorance, sold it when I went to college. My second, an '03 MC, was also used, and I still have it. My third, an '06 MCS, was bought new, and it keeps my MC company now.

I bought new in October. It seems that around here, ANYTHING on the lot (new or used) is marked way up just for the privilege of being able to be driven off the lot that day. There was a gorgeous used SB/PS w/silver U-stripe on the lot when I went in to order, but I ordered mine fully loaded and it still was way less than they wanted for the used one.

 

The only car I've ever ordered...so many option choices that it would have been very difficult to find what I wanted used.
