Hi All,

Just signed up here-I've learned a lot already. I recently put a deposit on a pepper white 07 MC cabrio. I was told 6-8 weeks for delivery. The salesman said I'd get the production number via email from Mini directly. Does anyone know how long this should take? I'd like to track it online. Thanks!

Congratulations!

Outstanding choice (the MINI)!!!!!
I ordered my '06 MC last summer and it took about 2 or 3 days to show up as "on order" then it tracked pretty true on the MINI website until it got to port. It was actually at port for a couple of days before it indicated so on the website. My MA told me what the status was.
You have a lot to look forward to over the next 6-8 weeks. The anticipation is as sweet as it is horriffic!
Best of luck to you! I'm positive you're going to enjoy your car!
POWER to the MINI's!

Pete, Welcome to NAM!!! Its sure fun tracking the mini from the Owner's Lounge at miniusa.com The tracker is usually a few days behind the actual production status. Your MA at the dealership will have more accurate info, usually. There are other sites such as shipping companies, etc, that are fun to watch, also. Enjoy! Mine was seven weeks from "conception" to "birth" and that being at the dealership for delivery to me!! We took delivery on Dec 22nd and have nearly completed the break-in period without driving four days over New Year's week-end! Have a ball!!

Welcome Pete! Great choice on your new 07 MINI. I know when I ordered mine it was a 6 month wait for the West Coast.......depending on your actual production date as to when you would be notified unless things have changed. Make sure to post some pics and keep us up to date. Happy Motoring!

Don't get too carried away tracking your new baby, it will drive you
nuts!! Eat, sleep and go to work and the next thing you know they
will call you to come pick it up. Enjoy and welcome.

Welcome to NAM, and good luck on the wait. It is very well worth it though.

The wait it worth it, although I only waited 3 weeks (I put a deposit on one that was already enroute to the dealership) and that was painful enough. Congrats on the new purchase.

Having just gone through the process (ordered my 07 S conv. on Nov 18 2006, took delivery on Jan 3 2007), and you being in CT, the 6-8 week timeframe sounds correct.

Congrats!

Yes, tracking online is both joyful and frustrating. The worst part for me was while it was on the transport ship across the Atlantic, because there was like a week where the web site wasn't updated. I was wondering if the ship sank!

Have a good time with your new MINI, and welcome to NAM.

The tracking on my baby was really off, so dont take it to serious, the ship tracking thing was extremly accurate though. Enjoy the wait, it makes the MINI all that much sweeter
