Mine has worked out well.
Check with the dealer for service records (bring the VIN) to see if it was a problem child, and confirm the standard maintenance was done. Otherwise if you're not in the know, have a mechanic give it a once over to check for any glaring deficiencies. Then have fun motoring.

Good luck,

Welcome to NAM. I bought my 02 MC used and have been more than happy with the results. It's an excellent car for my needs. But I would suggest cking with the vin #. I did this and found out that my car was in really good shape!! That's what helped me buy it fast!

Used Mini

I just picked up my 2004 used...aahhmm...pre-owned Mini with only 16,800 on odo and it has been "oh boy" ever since. I have always purchased pre-owned primarily for pricing reasons plus if you find the right one it can be as good as new. I purchased mine knowing that it has been in a minor fresh water flood (water had come in just enough to get carpets wet) Mechanic had to replace the right module in the passenger foot well and also had to replace wiper motor (not covered under warranty due to flood) but other than that the Mini dealer said this car is in excellent condition. The only thing that the remaining warranty does not cover is issues that would be related to flood. I paid about 11k under retail due to this issue but I am not the least bit worryied.
