A relative newbie to the community and thought I would say hi. I finally decided to take the leap and become a MINI owner. Just put my deposit down for a '07 Cooper S. I had a great experience at SouthBay MINI. I liked the fact that MINI dealerships don't try to push you into buying a car. Now all I have to do is agonize for a few months until my car arrives... is it here yet? Darn!!!

I look forward to getting advice from the knowledgeable members on NAM. In fact it was one of the reasons that made me more comfortable with my decision. Good to know there is a MINI support group!!! Hehe. I'll post some pics as soon as I have keys in hand... is it here yet? Doh, it's only been 60 seconds.

Dark Silver with White Top
Bonnet stripes
DSC
HI-FI sound system

I was very restrained and didn't go nuts with the options. Maybe will add on stuff as time goes by, if budget allows. I'll probably post another thread about my MINI purchase, thanks everyone!

Hi there, johnp888! Once you know your production week, you should start your production week support group. I'm in with the week 46ers and it's been really great to get feedback from others who are just as anxious to get motoring.

 

Welcome to NAM. Try and that is a big TRY not to get to upset on your wait. I 2nd the start your support group for the production week you are in. That will help you and others kill time. Also check out the how to track your MINI thread get information in there. Are you on the East coast of West coast? Just wondering, being on the West coast adds a little of time.

Thanks for all the support people! I'm in the west coast (Southern California) so I guess the wait will be longer for me. First thing I need to do is figure out how to use those cool badges in my signature. Does everyone link the images from a specific place or should I put them in my gallery?

Anyway, my current thirst for information about my new ride is to find out if the new 07 sound system has an aux input. From www.mini2.com people were mentioning that it comes with all systems. And of course I'm curious about mp3 songs. Wish I could find a manual somewhere, oh well. I'll be joining or starting a support group when my MA gives me production info. So, like everyone who loves everything MINI loves to say:

Just a shot in the dark but does anyone know how soon you can get a production #? I ordered my MCS with my dealer. They said they have me slotted for Feb 07 production, does that mean I need to wait until that time to get a #? Thanks in advance for any info.

 

I believe that would be correct for your situation. I got my Production # the same day, but I believe that the '07s have not even started yet. So you should get that # somewhere around February.
