Longest. week. ever.

I guess this is my hello post. As of last night, I've agreed to purchase a beautiful dark sliver '05 MCSa, and I couldn't be happier about it. Except for one little detail: I live in Houston and the Coop is in Nashville. I'd already been planning on being in Nashville next week anyway for work, so the logistics will all work out in the end. But...

I just don't know how I'll survive the next seven days knowing that I defacto own a Mini that I can't drive yet. :impatient

I guess some time on the Natchez Trace on the way home will rectify that.

Howdy y'all!

Hi, welcome, and congratulations. I'd say give yourself as much time as you can to wander on the way home.

Ordered mine, with a 6-8 week expected lead time, and had it in 12 weeks. Now THAT was a long 6-8 weeks....

And don't even get PARealtor started with THEIR story...

But yep, your week is gonna DDDDRRRRRRAAAAAAGGGGGG.......

It WILL be worth the wait.

Welcome to the cult!

I'm thinking I'll pick up the Trace outside of Franklin and take that down at least as far as Jackson and then hop on I-20 to get me back into Texas, with 59 as my preferred road getting back to Houston itself. Any other suggestions out there for roads I should hit?

Since you are going to be in Nashville, don't miss the Lane Motor Museum. To get acquainted with your new MINI motor over to the Smokie Mountain Nation park & hit TN129. Well worth a day of driving in the mountains. Do a search here for Tail of the Dragon.

Speaking of Tennessee... My lovely wife suggests we take our new Mini (due in about three weeks) to visit our friends near Knoxville. This is just a little drive from the Fontana Dam (where the dragon lurks!!!) Of course, no roads in TN are straight! I had to consider her request for about .2 nanoseconds. "Gee, Br'er Fox, Pleeeeese don't throw poor ol' Br'er Rabbit into the briar patch!" Have a great drive picking up your new Mini!
