Now, this is the support group I need...
Hi, my name is Alfredo and I am a recovering "motorer".
I haven't had a test drive in 7 weeks and counting...
I ordered my Mini Cooper S Chili Red with black roof and JCW back on Sept 9th. I believe the dealer used one of their own 2006's on order because (of course) I tried to sign up for the owner's lounge the same day and saw it as a hyperblue cooper S. I cancelled and tried when the week started... sure enough, the next time it was chili red.
I was told by ask-mini that the dealer can change the options and color up until the point the vehicle is scheduled for production... and boy did that take a while. I was finally built on the week of 10/22. Now it has been sitting on the dock waiting for a ride over the pond.
Now I just need to get the shoe situation squared out and we'll be straight.
I want to trade in the stock s-lites with all-season run-flats for 2 sets of wheels and a spare... I am looking at the R87 16" double-spoke with Dunlop Winter M3's for winter and possibly Kosei 17" with summer tires. I'll then need a 15" "donut" and tool kit.
Wish me luck and hope I don't fall off the wagon (take more test drives).
thanks for listening,
-alfredo
