I’m in California, and the car I ordered began production on Sept. 28, production week 39. The question I have is, the car has been “awaiting transport” since October 9. I’ve checked the WW site in “auto cargo” with the v.i.n., but it doesn’t show in the system. The Turandot is scheduled to sail today, but it appears that the car isn’t on it. I see that some new owners in production week 40 have already received their cars. Are there any of you from California in the same production week 39 who have determined that your car is either on a different ship or are you in the same “boat” as me?

 

Firstly, there is no guarentee your car is on a WW ship. Mine wasn't. In fact, most west coast Mini's aren't on WW ships.

Your MA gets a regular report that will say what ship your car is on. Check with them, and then go looking for that ship.

 

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Turandot sailed, and there's still no mention that WW lines recognize my vin. My MA will be back in tomorrow, and I'll have him check if the MCSa is on another ship - hopefully some way across the Atlantic!

 

My MA said he did not know what boat the car was on. He did know however that it should be docked 10-26. I am in week 40. Hope that helps!

 

My MA just emailed me saying that the car in on the Bellona, due to arrive in Oxnard on Nov. 10.
