Sun Visor Slide Cover

Hi everyone...I have asked my dealer about a spec that is on the MINI.CA sight for the Mini SOHO (which we just got of course). This spec refers to "sun visors with vanity mirrors "incl. slide cover". When I asked my dealership what the slide cover referred to he couldn't answer the question. I thought other models came with a slider that extended from the visor to block sunlight in the middle of the windshield where the visor doesn't cover but I'm not sure if this is called a "slide cover". My visors have flip down covers to cover the mirrors but who knows...does anybody know what the slide cover would refer to (or have it in their brochure to point it out. Thanks for your help

This is the passenger side visor, but driver side is same. This shows the slide cover half-opened.

The picture is very helpful. My visor has a light that comes on and a "flip" cover...I thought the visor "slide" would slide out into the middle of the windshield shielding more so now that I see what the slide is I'm happy with what I have because its better (for the wife, with the built in light). Thanks for the responses

Really? A flip cover w/ a light? What year? Mine is exactly as pictured? Was it an option or standard?

Maybe only the hard tops get flip visors? My 06 MCSa has them too, but the people above without them seem to be in convertibles....

I have a convertible - no flip visor - no light - only the slide as pictured?

Both of our '05 and '06 MCS have the flip up covers for the sun visor mirrors. As for soho's original question, they don't have a slider that extends from the visor to cover the gap above the mirror. My '02 Passat had a cool piece that flipped down above the mirror to cover this gap.
