New SOCAL MCS OWNER!!!!
New SOCAL MCS OWNER!!!!
Whats up everyone! I bought my mcs about 2 weeks ago. Its a 2004 MCS dark silver, blacktop, with every option on it and only 15k miles. I was lucky as hell as some guy traded it in at a mercedes dealer. I think I got the deal of the century. ANYWAYS, its good to be part of this community now. Im coming from a Acura Rsx-S that was stolen. Thanks for looking.
YAY!!!
we have a few socale weekly meets
one comeing up:
Socaleuro - OC Denny's Sept 27th 2006

And we do manic mondays every week!

Welcome! There is also a group down here called SoCal Mini Maniacs (www.scmm.org) - worth joining if only for the neat goodies!
Kidding aside - I joined in anticipation of having Polly make lotsa new friends (and me too)

Thanks for the welcome! Im in the 562 area. So you guys say their are a lot of clubs to choose from huh? I wouldnt know where to start. All I know is that I LOVE euro cars now. Does anyone have 8k kelvin hid bulbs on their mini? or even 6k kelvin? Are their any meets going on soon? I would love to see more mini's that are modded and hear some exhausts so I get an idea of where I want to go with this piece of machinery.

There's also c3 (Cooper Club for Charities) -www.c3club.org in Los Angeles.
We've got around 120 members with MINI's as diverse as a $60K MINI, a recently delivered GP, and lots of bone stock or slightly modded MINI's.
We've got monthly detailing clinics which we are starting up again next month taught by me--we have anywhere from 12 to 25 MINIs per session. It's free to participate, lots of food, and welcoming of new members.

Our members are completely obsessed MINI owners who come from all over California--from Ventura County to Orange County, to Inland Empire and beyond, as well as many out of states, and love to share. We've got experts who cut and apply vinyl, clean and polish cars and show you how, clinics on MINI maintenance like oil changes and rotating tires, and modding, etc.
A lot of our members like to autocross and some like to hit the track. Here's me in my modded Cooper. I just bought a 2005 MCS which is still being built......long story.

Club runs are fun too!

c3 is free, there is no annual membership dues, and we participate in regional MINI events a rew times a year to help raise money for specific children's charities.
Check us out!

I got it for 21650.00. Considering its a 2004, it has all 4 packages, its in perfect condition, and only had 15k miles, I think I got a great deal. I was considering buying a new one but since my car was stolen(which is the whole reason I bought this car) but I didnt have the luxury of waiting 3 months to get a car. Damn, most all of the minis that i found in LA area were going for 33k plus.
Welcome to NAM and your MINI.
SCMM is a great club. There are lots of modded MINIs in the club for you to look at. Since you live in the 562 you should check out the Second Saturday GTG at Rubie's on PCH in Long Beach. Just go to www.clubscmm.com for more information on the club.
