Greetings to all. I'm looking for a little info. I have an 06 Mini S with auto trans. From a dead stop, what is the highest rpm i should go without hurting the engin. I love the car & don't want to damage it. At 4500 rpms the engin seems to be saying enough. Thanks. J.D

Since you have the MCS auto the car isn't going to let you push the transmission hard enough to cause damage. Shift it into SD and put your foot down, and let the car worry about what RPM to shift at. The whine you're hearing at 4500 RPMS is the supercharger...enjoy it!
