Newb with a problem

Hello all, I just found the forum today. Was thinking there must be something like this online. We have an 06 MC conv. Really love this car, however there is a small problem. Occasionally the top will not go down. The sunroof goes back and then when you release and press the button again the indicator just flashes at you.
We did take it to the dealer, 100 miles away, and on that day it decdied to work as designed.
Anybody else experienced this problem, got any iea as to what it might be? Thanks in advance. Russ,

Did you check the cargo cover in the boot? If it's not resting all the way down there is a sensor that will not let the top go down. Sometimes it can look like it's down but still be not touching the little button. Hope that works! Come check out the cabrio forum!

I thought about that. Last time it happened I opened and shut the trunk again, just to be sure it was closed. No luck.

Besides making sure the cargo lid (not the trunk lid) is in the correct position, also check that the latches are fully closed.

I think I read something yesterday about a new sensor that is available.

It's not just about making sure the boot (trunk) is closed. It's actually the lightweight cargo cover INSIDE the boot. The thing the top rests on when it's down.

OK, so the problem is back again today. I guess I'll figure out how to pull the cargo cover off so I can see the sensors, something is just not right here.

Every now & then mine stops after the sunroof opens. Try closing the sunroof & then starting all over again

Have tried closing the sunroof, no help, also tried to open it using my key to see if it was just a defective switch, but again no difference.
