Willow Springs

Well, today my SO and I went to willow springs to check out a racing school for his RC51. He wants to ride his bike at the track after he takes some classes. Other than being desert hot, it was an interesting day. Eventually after watching the bikes for awhile, we check out the gokarts. Wow, 10k for a gokart. I'll be stickin with my MCS. So the point to this post is that we made our way over to Streets of Willow springs. We saw 2 HB MCS. Well, Being a future MCS owner, I wanted to see the MINI go! We started talking to the owner. He told me I could drive his 2006 MCS JCW (with tons of mods just competed at Central coast coopers) on the track. I love to drive, but I have only driven once on a track. And it wasn't my car. I declined because, well, what if I ruined his beautiful car? He offered the passenger seat to me during his next ride. I was hesitant, so I sent my SO. He had so much fun! At first it scared the bejesus out of him, then he really got into it. Their best time was a lap in 1.40. It was an awesome experience for him. Looks like we might be autocrossing our MCS. Took a couple of photo's. I will post them later. Big thanks goes out to Matt and Casey for being friendly and kind to us. Just reinforces how incredible the MINI community is.
