Is this a new feature, or has it always been that you get an email from your dealer to pre-program options such as your favourite radio stations, driving lights on/off, locking/not locking over 10mph, follow-me-home lights on/off, and choosing one/two press option to unlock all doors?

I just got this email and thought it was rather cool!

 

I got my email this morning....but picked up my car 3 weeks ago A little late, but nice thought.

 

Back in April just before my early May delivery, my MA phoned me with a list of features that can be programmed and we went over each item. Worked great!

 

This is normal info the dealership should request in advance of delivery. I selected my setup uptions when the vehicle was ordered. I added "no dealer logos/emblems".

 

My dealer didn't ask any of this; if it weren't for NAM, I wouldn't even know there _are_ options! Nice to do it in an email, so you can think about things, research if you want, and reply.

One of these days I should do a search to see what options I could change, but I've been pretty happy with the defaults so far...

 

I didn't get an email specifically about them. But my MA & I kept in touch thru emails & he reminded me about them, so I emailed him my selections.

 

It sucks that I had an MA that sucked!

 

Well, it was actually an email from MINI USA requested to be sent by my dealer... You click on the link and it takes you to MINI USA site with a little pop-up you fill everything into. I thought it was rather cool! Oh, and it only covered those options I mentioned in the initial post... there are still plenty I have to mention when I get to the dealer.

I ask my dealer about it and he gave me a sheet with only 4 options. I got them to set all of them that I wanted from the sheet from the link though. Mostly the factory settings are pretty nice anyways.
