Rasmussen has been good to me as well. I got my usual floor mats and a hat for my honey when we took delivery and I got a pretty nice discount on some other stuff I picked up at the same time while I was there. I had to take her back in the next week for Tough Guard and my MA let me drive his MINI for the day and when they didnt finish on time I kept it overnight no charge. I have to agree fluidsoul that their coffee is pretty darn good!

Would have like at least mats to come with the car, you woudl think bmw in all it wisdom would include $10 mats, cant cost much more then that to make them. But would make my days is when i pick the car up if the give my daughter a stuffed bull dog she really wanted one.

Do car buyers (any, not just MINI) really expect free things?? I think its kind of unreasonable. I wasn't given anything when I bought my Audi.

Wait, I'm remembering more free stuff. I forgot the large cupholder attached to the center console, the Mini cuzzie, the 2 key chains, the Mini mints, and the Mini bottled water. That's it for real this time.

We got a couple tshirts, a stuffed blue MINI, checker valve stem caps, a boot cargo net, S keychain, bulldog keychain, MINI chrome license plate frame. Also got a metal "Lauderdale MINI" Euro-size license plate for my garage, where it proudly hangs. Wow, that is alot of stuff! We did buy 2 MINIs tho.

I got floor mats, a crappy black frame with the dealers name on it, two free holes in my front bumper to hold the crappy black frame, optional cup holder, and a nice key chain. I got the key chain because my rear whiper didn't work, and I didn't find that out till day 2 of owning Bean. Bean is cursed, but still fun to drive!

because i knew someone who worked for the business group that owns Morristown MINI we got the IPOD adapter for free...

b/c of the same contact we were supposed to get a MINI gift bag that was going to be "really nice"...

when we took delivery (8/10/06) everything was great except no gift bag... so we asked where the gift bag was and they said... we'll have it for you when you pickup your plates...

then i got an e-mail... what do you want for the gift bag? t-shirts, hats, etc or floor mats (choice of rubber or carpet)... so i said, we'll take the rubber "s" floor mats...

they said we can't give you the "s" mats... too expensive...

so we're expecting rubber mats...

if i didn't know anyone... i'm sure we would have gotten nothing except a great car, a handshake and a bill ; )

sbp

1. Front & rear floor mats (including installation)
2. Front sunshade
3. Blue spark plug wires (including installation)
4. $35 gift certificate to the MINI/BMW Boutique store

I just asked the question about discounts on acccessories, and the MA offered all of the above for free.

You do need to ask, you don't need to insist.

Hope this helps.

I can't complain.... I got a free alarm system. They installed it by mistake and felt they couldn't honestly charge me for it. So it was free (double checked the invoice and paperwork to make sure). I still paid for the floor mats though.

ok, I am such a princess!! I called my MA and asked him if I was going to get free stuff? He says, oh, I will give you a hat and shirt. I said, I don't wear hats. I want something I can use... like a travel cup, keychain, rubber floor mats.. He says, Ok, I will hook you up, you are in good hands. So... come November... we shall see!

the carpeted mats are free for me. took off 400 dollars off of msrp. I never haggled for a second or asked that REALLY lame question "is that your best price?" I sell things as a business so I just had to add that.

hm. Does the mini come with anything like first aid kit or emergency road things?

(still have yet to receive it.. zzz...z ...zzz....)

FYI, the MINI robots are models but definitely not toys. Very fragile and not suitable for playing with by children.

Goodies...

In the spreadsheet I got from my MA, they included black carpeted floor mats and MINI wheel locks in their dealer prep.

I'm going to push for some fun stuff as well, but these I know I can count on...

I tried so hard to win one of those DR. Pepper MINI's. . . .

Now their current contest is for a Hummer. . . but if I win that, I'll sell it for another MINI!

We got a couple of keychains with little BRG Mini toys hanging from them. Kinda cheap by comparison. We would have loved a couple of caps.

We got (in 2004) floormats, boot mat, sun shade, cupholder, 2 mugs, keychain, 2 shirts, hat, "Cooper S" plate frame, CD holder, special MINI CD, and some mints.

Have gotten more fun stuff from the same dealer when we have visited over the years! (Out of town dealer)
