Hey all
Hey all
Greetings,
The wife and I just took delivery of an 06 Mini Cooper S Convertible yesterday. Here in Florida we've seem them out and about on the roads and always thought they were fantastic but after a trip through Europe this summer we got serious about getting one.... but the instant we hit second gear on the test drive we were sold hard.
Ours is British Racing Green with beige leather interior. A classic motoring color combination. It, no name as of yet, has the convenience, premium and sport packages. I was hoping for the cold weather package as well as we do travel up north a bit and with my back heated seats are always welcome.
Some things I hope to accomplish:
- Meet you all and join the Mini Community
- Union Jack Flag Rear View Mirror Covers
- Possibly some cool exterior graphics
- Aftermarket iPod integration
- Bluetooth Phone integration
- Patch my Garmin 2720 GPS for British Accent
- Slick Semi-Perm Mounting and power routing for the GPS
- Trailer Hitch Receiver for our Thule Bicycle Carrier or other option
- Determine if we need a Wind Deflector

Congrats and welcome. Nice color choice btw
if you plan on doing any cool weather motoring with the top-down, you'll want to consider the wind deflector. Check the Cabrio threads for suggestions on where to buy.

Hi there! Welcome. Take a look at the Cabrio Talk threads too.
Did you know we're almost twins?
I'm gonig to get a wood-grain interior for my baby soon. Can't wait.
I'd like to hear your comments on the bluetooth with the convertible. Is it functional at all with the top down? The wind deflector is nice to have, you can definitely get it under retail, you just have to shop around.

Congrats and welcome to NAM. What part of Florida are you in? Don't forget to checkout the Florida Mini Website. We have some great people here and have lots of get togethers http://www.sunshineminis.org/
Wowser
Thanks for the warm reception! We live in Largo, Florida but we're planning to move to the Seattle area just as soon as we sell our house here.
I've been scouring the forums soaking it all in. I'm kinda glad I didn't stumble onto NAM before buying or I'd be so damn confused ;p
The wife and I just took our Mini out for a spin and broke the 100 mile mark.... whoot.
Nice to "meet" you all.
Cheers,
Daver
