Hello fellow mini lovers

I just bought my first mini 2 weeks ago and it's official.....I'M IN LOVE!!! I bought her used, she is a 2004 MCS, royal blue with a white roof and white wheels. I'm having bonnet stripes added, she gets them next Friday. My previous cars were a Toyota Celica and a Honda Prelude which were great cars and fast but they cannot compare to my mini. I cannot stop smiling while driving!! I live in Colorado and haven't taken the mini to the mountains yet, it will be interesting to see how she does. I'm also curious about winter driving since she is so small. I'm not worried, with front wheel drive most cars do ok in the snow. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and my mini!

Hey Dianna,

Congrats on your Mini and welcome to NAM. You'll love the way the mini handles in the mountains. From what I've read, as long as the snow is not too deep, it handles well in it.

Happy Motoring

Ah, you've discovered the secret!!!!! I do believe, based on this early indication, the mountains may produce out and out giggles!!! Folks have have had very good results in snow, too, although I know nothing of such things.

Have fun out there on motoringland, Dianna....I've had my MINI well over three years and it's still a thrill a minute.

Get a set of good winter tires and you should be fine (unless you encounter drifts, of course). Tirerack has probably the best selection of winter tires. Welcome aboard!

Congrats on your MINI! I just got back from a trip to Colorado (Estes Park) and my MCS did great. Had a fantastic time--me, my husband, and my MINI loved the mountains and can't wait to go back.

Have fun with your new ride!

Mini2di4,

Aloha and welcome to NAM

Great user name!!!!

You have some lively MINI clubs in Colorado- see if you can make their events. It's worth the effort.

She/He(named yet?) will do great. I live in Oregon and have been in our mountains and it's like the car was designed for the hill climb thrill !! The curvier the better.
