Hi everyone. I just joined NAM and the Mini Owners Club at MiniUSA and trying to figure out how to join the Hyper Blue Club.
I'm 56, art teacher, ex-hippie who's been wanting a Mini since I drove a
1275S in 1968. Now I've got better......way better.
My wife brought home a Hyper Blue S with EVERYTHING but heated seats
on my birthday last May 3. My son in law has a Pepper White S (which just
got crunched but is repairable) and my son (who's 30) works at Ralph Schomp
Mini in Littleton, CO. We have 3 Minis in the family. He bought a used
Special edition JCW with all the decals and signatures (and the engine and
exhaust).....way fast.
Also, my son told me my car was bought from a dealer in Calif and was used
as a "program car". I said, what's that mean. Everytime a car magazine
wanted to test a 2005 S with 6 speed auto/paddle shifters.....they got the
blue one.....now MINE. I want online and looked up 2005 S auto and saw
my car on the cover of Motor Trend and two other publications in 2005
I thoought that was pretty cool.
All the minis are soon going to the Mini in the Mountains in Copper Mtn in
Colorado next week. I could write about a book or more on how cool my
mini is to drive and go too fast around all the mountain roads. I live in the
foothills of Colorado and there are lots of twisty roads everywhere.
