Hi All, I just bought a 2002 Cooper S with the JCW engine kit.. I so far love the car..
I sold my SRT8 Dodge Magnum which did 13.01 in the 1/4 mile and it was huge so it is a big change to the Cooper..

I actually was going to get a convertible Mini but I own a computer company and need the space the hatch allows you... It is actually roomy enough... I still have not tried to put my 6MO back there in his car seat yet, that just sounds awful... But I think I am going to get rid of the run flats, and get the JCW suspension package and see how it handles, it is like it is on rails now, so I can not imagine it any better...

Welcome

So, does the MINI handle as well as the Magnum?

well... the Mini does handle allot better, but the Magnum did not handle bad.. or course, with 255X35X20 Eagle F1 rubber... a brick would Handle good..
SRT did a good job on the Magnum.. But I am loving my Mini....
I am not used to having no power under 3000 RPM's but the JCW is much better than the standard S model...

That's good to know. I think the Magnum turned out okay... for a station wagon. I had a '57 Chevy s/w so my opinion should count. But it didn't handle at all.
