Woohoo!

Congrats on your new arrival!

Yeah I've read about the "break-in" period...it's not going to be easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got offical word today from my MA that my Mini's expected to be at the dealership this coming Monday (8/28)!

Meanwhile I'll keep cleaning up the nursery awaiting our new arrival...

We are picking ours up tomorrow night too. Went to see it on Saturday just to "bond" and make sure it doesn't hide from us. We're gonna dust the parking spot in the garage and are thinking of a party with "suprise" or will that noise scare poor little MINI away? haha

MY MA at Mini of concord has not returned one email since my order went thru. only about three of them but well you can see where her priorities are. Hopefully some acion this week but meanwhile stop your motoring and post a couple of pics for me. Thanks

Hey I finally uploaded some images...they're kind of "old"...they're from last week when I picked up our Mini!

I put them in my gallery, not sure how to get them to appear here yet...since then I've been driving! This car's totally nuts!

Snoggin - Congrats on your new Mini!

Yeah I picked up the Car yesterday. It is awesome as expected BUT, I cant believe my ROTTEN luck. I am three miles from the dealership and a rock kicks up and caroms off the hood and windshield putting a couple nickds and even a minor dent in the hood and a chip in the windshield. I was gutted but you know what can you do. its hard to see unless you are olooking,at first ithought i had gotten off ok on the hood be later in the sun i saw it. Well I may look into fixing it or may view it as prophylactic as far as future rock incidents but THREE MILES. that just sucks. I will post some pics later when the sun comes out

Looks great GS. Its waiting for you to put your personal touch on it. Hey! You better watch it. I can see who's going to kick you to the curb in a few years and ****** those keys from your trembling hands! Little guy looks like he's getting ready now!

Quick! Pics now before that next boulder lands on your hood. That does suck but like you, I'd probably look at from the standpoint that you've already had your rock event so you're good to go! Really though, screw the sun, let's see the ride!

AH MAN! That sucks. I was just at Concord mini today poking around some more. I actually ordered from East Bay to avoid the markup... I kept thinking of your mishap. I'm going to have to be very careful to drive home.... I have been watching your thread to get an idea how long it takes to ship up here... My "Moe" is about to be born (Sept 11 or 12) then has to float on over... About how long did it take from completion to delivery?

I dint pay any markup on mine ti=either at concord. But it was only on the convertible that they were doing msrp but that is what I wanted anyway. sf mini wanted 2k over choke. I think I ordered in a good window as it was ordered 7/15 and completed 7/28. The boat ride seems to take between 3 and four weeks. I sailed on 8/1 and landed at Port Heunemme on the 31st picked it up on the 7th . It seems like people who ordered after i did were waiting MUCH longer to be produced or to even get a production number. I will upload some pics tomorrow . got an invite to a motoring event by email so what the heck going to go check it out. I am not much for group rides/ drives but it should be fun at least once. I promise to post up some pics tomorrow

I have done tons of group rides with my Z3 group and look forward to some with the MINI let me know how it went..where'd you go etc. I was just visiting the Concord dealer today and every car on the lot was marked up 1300 or more. When I had originally decided the car I wanted there (July 4 or so) had a mark up of 2000 and the MA was getting it down to 14 and possibly more but I couldn't get my Z3 sold before he sold the MINI to someone else. When I went to order one (nearly identical) the mark up was back... so I went with the longer wait (ordered 7/23) but no mark up and gives me time to sell the Z. Hope you had fun tonight!

Congrats again! That's great! A convertible in California that has to be happy times!

That's huge bummer about the rock. Hopefully that's the last ding you get for a long time!

Hopefully someday we can meet up and our cars can have a family reunion!

Yeah that's our 9 month old! He keeps hearing about this "mini" daddy talks about! That picture is honestly the first time he ever stood up on his own! We don't know what got into him, maybe he wanted into the big car instead?!

So far's he's only been in the car once, it must have been the excitement of it all but surprisingly he dozed off shortly into the trip.

As for personal touch to it, I have a big list of mods I've been compiling while I've been waiting!

That car is gorgeous! I would have gone with HOT Orange had they made the S in a hardtop... Love it!
