I'm new to Nam. Great site you have here. I don't have a MINI Cooper but, I want one maybe later in my life...

Hi Exige,

Sorry for the late welcome....

but Welcome to NAM!

Hopefully you'll find some of the information here useful in making your decision if you want a MINI.

Ditto that. Welcome to NAM. Maybe you will get the new series MINI. I bet there are many in NAM who considered the Mazda 3 (I did).

Yakima, Washington! Isn't that where the roof racks are made?

I've been considering getting one but concerned about Yakima's disclaimer that prolonged use on the car could damage the window seals. I prefer the appearance of Yakima's cylindrical cross bars versus Thule's rectangular ones although the badges will have to go. I believe the roof rack available at MINI is based on a Thule. So perhaps for the sake of the window seals I should get a dealer-mounted system and square-secton bars.

Did this go off-topic or is it germane to a new Nammer from Yakima?

Hiya and Welcome!! If you spend enough time in here, I'm pretty sure a MINI will be sitting in your driveway soon...
