Hello everyone! My name is Ryan, and my fiance is the proud owner of an '06 British Racing Green MCS with performance package and S-Lite wheels. This is the first sporty car for her, however I have owned 2 Nissan SER Spec V's and a 350Z in the past.
We bought this car in May and have loved every mile in it. Living in the Blue Ridge Mountains (Asheville, NC) provides us with some amazing curvy roads to enjoy this car. In my opinion it outperforms the 350Z in handling, drivability, and fun factor.
My dad is a member of the foothills Miata club in upstate SC. He met some guys through that club who run a performace shop in the upstate, and they have installed a few mods to our car. We got it back two weeks ago from them after putting on a Promini 17% sc pulley and an intercooler air diverter with sprayer. The transformation was more than noticable, and turned the car into what I feel should have been a stock performance level. It takes a few hours for the grin to wear off my face after getting out of the car now : )
Now for some big news...we hope to get the car back in the next few days from the same guys at the same performance shop. I don't have permission to post pics or go into details at this point, but hopefully I can soon enough. They have been using our car during the past week to prototype some new performance modifications that should boost the power level to 220whp on what is basically a stock Mini S. We are all extremely excited about this project and plan to officially unveil the car at the Miata Tail of the Dragon meet here in NC on the 29th. Once again my dad owns a black miata with a long list of mods, and I've been told that many Miata owners also have Minis.
Thank you all for reading...I've certainly learned a lot about this little car here on the forums, and I look forward to communicating with you. Happy motoring!

A word to the wise ... if you come back claiming 220 at the wheels, people are going to want to see the dyno sheet cause that's what maybe 260 bhp. Ppl will be asking questions. (without going to a TC).
Welcome to NAM, MM! A few of us will be at Fontana Village this week, Thursday - Sunday. If you happen to be in the area, (*hint hint*), and see some MINIs, be sure to come say "hi" and show us your mods!
