Delivery Day ?

Anyone know what to expect on Delivery Day ? I saw a post on http://www.iniw.net/our-gallery/ where someone posted their pictures of their mini in a zipped cover and said that they got the full mini experience. Can someone who has recently gone through this please let me know a little bit of what to expect

It depends on the dealership you ordered from and your MA. At the dealership I went with, once your car is prepped and ready for the customer to take delivery, it's covered so no other customer can see it before the owner. Pretty sweet. I've been to another dealership where a new car ready for delivery was sitting in the showroom, uncovered, with a "SOLD" sign in the window.

Mine was like the latter... I suppose it didnt help that I drove by that night when I knew it was dropped off, then the very next morning to look inside...

MIB had a sign saying "I am going home" in the winshield. And BIG red Chirstmas bow (december 9th delivery) No cover. Heck D&R had two deliveries that morning and MIB was not in the "Official Delivery bay", but instead at the other set of doors. Indy had a snow and ice storm the night beore, so the drive home was INTERESTING! New Car, First time with a manual on snow and ice for 5 years. First time with Anti lock brakes on a manual, first time with DSC!

The drive home was a little slower than normal but everyone got home safe and sound!

In my case, my MA took about an hour going over every function/option making sure you understand everything. That's after finishing the paperwork/aftermarket spiel (sp?) This next time will be just "Gimmee the Key! I gotta motor!"
