Getting my Cooper S tomorow/tuesday

hi all, i just found this neat site while looking for info about this great car. im either picking it up tomorow or tuesday, depending on when my sales guy is in.

im getting an 04 Mini Cooper S, Liquid yellow. its a late model 04, and only has 15,000 miles on it, so its not to bad. i tested this car out after an RX-8, and i was totally blown away. the car has the dual sun roofs, white top, and all the S goodies.

i have some questions though, my first one was answered by a sticky here. only use premium gas, check. i was wondering about this. second is, is there a Auxiliry jack some where in the car for the stereo? i didnt take down the model of it or anything, i know it does have a cd player in it. i really hope there is, for my MP3 player, but if not its still cool.

oh yea, my name is Brian, i live in PA( i say PA because i prolly cant spell it out, and i live here). i really cant wait to get the car.

Welcome, Brian. You might want to ask the person you're buying the car from if they had an auxillary mp3 jack installed, either by the dealer or a DIY from the current owner. If not, the link below is for an aux. jack that can be installed fairly simply and easily (I helped with the install a bit on my cousin's MINI, it didn't take long).

Good news if you use your computer to program your MP3 player-- where most cars insist on an "audio CD" format CD, your Mini will accept a computer-burned data disk full of your favorite MP3 files. Hours and hours and hours of songs on a single CD. I'm a month and a half from getting my baby and I've already got all my favorite tunes ready to go. Enjoy!

There is an optional auxilary connection available. I thought the capability to play MP3s on the standard unit was introduced with the '05 model year. Best of luck with your purchase - it will definitely keep a grin on your face.

You could always buy a radio/CD player from someone with an 05-06 that has gone aftermarket.
