My car is at the dealer today!

Bringing my 03 MCS Thursday to be "racked" , checking for frame damage on the trade in. I could have the new one Friday AM. Yay!

Congrats Red...do post pics tomorrow! The FREEDOM should be dropping mine off to Charleston, SC tomorrow...hoping to get mine in a week or so...

 

Not so congrats! When they racked the 03 they found a 3" long tear in the frame rail where my original dealer incorrectly used a hook while it was flatbedded. Agreed trade in price out the window.

I am going through with the deal, they are writing a letter stating that the value when down because of it, and going after the original dealer for the difference in value. The 06 is in prep.

Maybe pick it up Saturday? It just got more expensive!

My new MINI is on the patriot but how do you track it? I'm not sure of the production week but it is en route now.

 

The Patriot is due into New York on Sunday at 17:00. It doesn't seem to be trackable on www.sailwx.info but you can check the schedule at http://www.firstnynj.com/ and click on <Vessel Activity>.

Several of us also have MINIs on the Patriot. It's almost here.Then we just have to wait on VPC processing, etc. etc.

EDIT: You were probably production week 27.

 

Thanks Beauregard. I just was able to see that I had changed to en route and my MA told me our MINI was on the Patriot so this is good news. I'm expecting it to be at the dealership and ready by first week in Aug.

So I go to pick it up today and they screwed up the paperwork!

But the manager apologized and said to pick any accessory, and tried to give me a "Ding Warranty" worth $800.

So I thought about the $400 Driving lights, but I am not sure about the look.

So I emailed a request for IPOD connection and two jackets. Let's see what happens.

My mini was on the Freedom with yours...how long was it at the VDC before it got to your dealer? I'm thinking maybe it may reach mine in 1 wk or so...should be in Charleston, SC today and hopefully to Ft Lauderdale soon!

 

3 days! But then I ran into problems, but they are more than making up for it with free stuff IPOD Aapter, Jackets, etc.).
Hopefully I will pick it up Monday and post pix, but has been 3 years sinec I did it on this website, and I have to figure out how to do it again......

Picked it up late this afternoon. It sure is sweet!

Felt bad giving back my 03, but I will soon forget it. This one seems smoother and quicker; of course driving it carefully..........

Awesome Red...congratulations...nice having the IPOD adapter too...worth the wait eh? I called my dealer today and they said probably 1 more week...ahhh...

Mine came in Thursday morning, and I picked it up that evening. 4 days and 1380 miles later, I still can't stop smiling and I'm now sporting one hell of a good set of racoon eyes :D

I would post pics if I could find my stupid camera, but it has apparently gone missing.

Well the day has finally come! yippee!!!
I'm picking up my 06 Pepper White JCW MCS today in about 1hr!
I'll try to figure out how to post the pics...
The wait has been long but i hope it will be all worth it when i see my lil boy...

 

Here's my lil boy! picked him up yesterday from Lauderdale Mini with my family..boy were we all excited...we had a lot of fun with him...and lots more to come.

Wow, Beuregard, how did you get a MCS ordered and ship so fast? Reading your sig and it took a little over a month after order date?? I ordered mine 4/12/06, built 6/25/06, and just been a VDC a couple of days. BTW, I love your MINI's color, i almost got the same but opted for the Space Blue after I saw it in person at the dealer. Congrats to asainboy too, i love the checker package, but wasn't offered for the MC>. I like the picture of the rear fog light (or where it is suppose to be) I was wondering what it would look like up close without the fog light, I didn't get it. Ahh.. the waiting is killer.

later on in the day, My dealer from Northwest Mini called me and said he had a 'surprise' for me. My MINI came in the day before and he said now he just needed a little less than a week to get everything set. He said that the mini was put on the truck without anyone telling him so he didn't know about it so it came a week early. My owners lounge tracker still says VDC. Anyway, he asked for a fax of my financing options that I want. Woohoo! Fri, Aug 4 is when I am going to pick it up. Going to be a long 4 days.

 

thats great news...i don't know what u can possibly do to keep busy for 4 more days! lol...good luck
