But the news forgot to mention that we did have any oil from Iraq several years ago when gas was well under $1 and that even now they make up less than 1% of our oil supplies and never made up more than 4% of world oil production.

Dont you guys know it yet? We are driving the new H12!!! Each model they come out with gets smaller and smaller. Hmmmm So I guess Mini's are just the evolution of Hummer. hahahahah
I laugh at Hummers knowing that they are getting horrible MPG and cant seem to park anywhere.

Hummer.

In the immortal words of my wife, "why would anyone drive something named for a bj?"

That, is why I married her.

The Mini looks way better than the Hummer. Congrats!

My brother and I always call the H2's and 3's the "Poor Man's Hummer". Just like we call the Boxter the "Poor Man's Porsche". Hehe.

Whats all this talk about what version of the HumV is the "Real" version?
To many people, we dont drive the "Real Mini"! Cars change, technology changes. They build what sells. On that note, nice beauty and the beast!

True, however, BMW didn't throw a Mini (yes... the lowercase version) looking body on a GEO Metro frame, slap in a Ford Focus engine, and call it a work of art.

The MINI wasn't built to be an "affordible replica" of a high-quality purposeful vehicle. The MINI was a re-design into a more modern vehicle of an amazing classic.

You say "technology changes"... what about the Tahoe is "changing technology".

Buying an H2 over a H1 vehicle is like buying a Rolmex over a Rolex watch. Looks kinda the same but slightly smaller, kinda has the same name, and no where near the same craftsmanship.

I wouldn't call anyone poor who can afford a car that has a BASE sticker price of over $50,000. I'm talking about the Boxster.

No, a $50k "hummer" isn't chump change, but a real one costs 3 times as much.
