That's just the European date order (dd/mm/yyyy)... The website is correct

select 'View Source', for Firefox use the view menu and select 'Page Source'. There will be 2 lines way down the page with your VIN along with all your order options as well as your dealer’s name. Wright this down somewhere!
My vin is not there. This would work once they update but until then I am without a vin. The "word" VIN is there but no number afte it. It's been 10 days and still no VIN but that's ok, I still havent had a chance to call mini. Does anyone know what hours they are open?

WW Question: Is my MINI on its way or not?

I'm confused... I thought my MINI was on board and at sea because when I enter the VIN at WW it brings up the Freedom, which sailed today (6/30) from Southampton. However, if I look up the Booking number, my MINI's VIN only says "Received at Terminal" and not "Loaded". Does this mean my MINI is not on that ship???

What does 1-866-ASKMINI say? It should say "in transit" when it is underway on the ship (though it can be delayed several days before the message changes).

When you search by the booking number is there a * next to your VIN? If so then that may indicate you are on a waiting list for the next available spot. That happened to me and I ended up on a different ship (with a different company even)

Does Mini not use WW for west coast shipping? AskMini says my MCS is in transit and the owners lounge also reflects that, but my VIN isn't working on the cargo search. Anyone else have this problem? This is killing me!!

They usually dont for West coast. WW is the only one that has online tracking though. It is probably on NYK

http://www.nykline.com

Call your MA and get the name of the boat since they should have it. Then if you are lucky you can find it online at one of the ship tracking sites:

http://aisfree.aislive.com
http://www.oceanweather.com/data/

If you are lucky, you'll be able to watch it go through the panama canal

no ship after all

ASK-MINI says my car is "In Assembly" (not true) and on WW there is a * next to the VIN. Guess it didn't get on the Freedom after all.... strange that it brings up a ship though. At least WW does say that it was taken to the dock on 6/29.

Will watch and see.

Which port?

Anyone know what port (NYC or Charlseton) a MINI destined for Chicago or Milwaukee would use?

Port Tracking in NY/NJ

Just a link for folks on a ship due to arrive in NY/NJ - click on this link and then select "Vessel Activity". It will show you when your ship is due to arrive in port. My MINI is on the MIGNON, due to dock 7/11 at 1700 according to this site.

I love going down to Richmond - especially to look at cars and to shop at Short Pump! Am hoping that there will be a miracle and my little guy will be off-loaded in NY today to make it down to VA by the weekend. Can't wait!!!

Julie, you'll have to come down for a River City MINIs club event sometime.

Would love to ~ the MA said I will have to wait until probably the 22nd to pick up the MINI in VA Beach, but I am really hoping to get involved with some club activities and such soon after. We plan on doing a part of the MTTS tour from Charlottesville to DC (at least!) in early September, and I paid for membership into DCMM as well. If you know of any events we can do in Richmond, let me know what you hear; I'll be looking forward to it!

Not sure if anyone else tried to use the AISLIVE website to track their MINI's voyage across the Atlantic. I filled out the form for the free 2 week trial and never received the confirmation e-mail. BUT someone did call me from the UK and asked me a bunch of questions about how I was going to use the software. I simply told him I was going to track my MINI. He asked if I still needed the service and I told him probably not because I expect the ship to be in NYC today and my car is getting off there. So he checked where the TRIANON was for me... and he said it is in NYC.

Also I did use the http://www.firstnynj.com/ website and it was handy... just don't use it in FIREFOX. It doesn't load the page correctly. Using the page with IE worked fine and gave me this information about TRIANON.

Vessel Call Sign Terminal Berth # Cargo Est-Arrival Est-Departure Act-Arrival Act-Departure Updated
TRIANON LAIZ4 Public Berth - NJ 17 Autos 8/1/2006 16:00 8/1/2006 23:00 7/31/2006 10:26

I noticed you got this (sorta) resolved later in the thread, but for other folks reading, the WW site seems to be 2 or 3 days behind. My MINI was loaded on the Courage on 7/18, but it took until 7/21 to register that on the WW site. Same with discharge in NJ--it registered on that site approximately 2-3 days after the actual date of discharge.
