JCW Suspension
How many variations of springs are offered w/jcw suspension kit?
(i know there is one correct kit per MINI model)
I am wondering if there is a code related to the springs so I can verify
that the dealer ordered the right set of springs for my 06 coupe
with moonroof and factory jcw engine and brake kit.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like everyone who has made the change likes it
regardless of where they live.
As I understand it, there are 4 separate combinations for the MCS and 4 for the MC, and yes they use your VIN to decide which one to get (based upon selected factory options). The JCW suspension is officially only available for the hardtop, not the convertible.
I just got the suspension (and brakes); the JCW suspension is so far the single best mod I've had--it's changed the car the most, and for the better. Ride is significantly better (An even bigger improvement than switching from runflats to nonrunflats), handling is significantly better as well--I didn't think it was possible to improve both ride AND handling at the same time--I was wrong. I haven't upgraded the sway bar yet; I'm seriously thinking of changing out to a 19 inch in the future; we'll see.
Brakes are significantly better (although they're a bit scary until broken in) too, and I'm glad I got them, but the difference in the suspension is the most noticeable. I've got the engine kit on tap for the fall; but in my limited experience driving a JCW, I'd still say the suspension is more noticeable than even the JCW engine kit. But that impression might change after I get the JCW in my car and have some quality time with it...

I had the JCW suspension installed on my '06 cooper s when I bought it new. I never had the "regular" sports suspension + which comes standard with the 17" wheel package. I went with non-run flat tires because the run flat tires followed every crack and groove when I drove on the freeways here in southern California. I really like the non-run flats. You WILL feel the bumps, especially the larger bumps in the road with the JCW suspension, just be warned. This is a sporting suspension, not a comfort orientated suspension. I would recommend just try driving the car with the standard suspension from the factory, and see if you like it. I you want more, go with the JCW suspension.
