New MINI on the Boat...

Hello,

Newbie here. They finally loaded my '06 CR MCS on the transport. Hopefully, it arrives by Memorial Day... I've waited four long years for this and since placing my order, the last few weeks have been brutal.

Can't wait to take it down A1A through N. FLA.

Congrats!

I know what you mean...these past few weeks have been seriously
brutal! But, it will be worth it!

My MINI is currently crossing the north atlantic and is due to arrive in
Charleston on May 27th. Can't wait!

Hope yours arrives safely!!

Happy motoring

I hear ya on the brutal wait! (Mine is on the Liberty steaming towards NYC at this very moment)

But, the way I figure it, I've waited over thirty years to finally own my very own car, so a few more weeks doesn't bother me. Besides, I just bask in the question ... how sweet is it that my first car ever is a Mini? Me being a certified car nut, I had to make the first one after all those years of dreaming something special!

Vokoun29 - Nice Spec. I was going back and forth between DS/B w/ black bonnet stripes and the HB/W w/ white stripes.

You guys are production week 20, right? I was production week 19 and was supposed to be on the Manon. Then I found out my MCS was waitlisted for the Manon and I ended up on the Liberty instead.

When I found out all I could think was, "How do you get waitlisted for a ship?!" Were my mini's SAT scores not high enough or something?! :impatient

Thanks, I seem to be one of the few who didn't go back and forth on color. I drove by my MINI dealership last night and the had a DS/B on the lot an it made me want my MINI even more. Oh well it will be here soon.

Yeah, we were production week 20 I don't know how you get waitlisted though. Be assured all of our MINIs are having a big party right now waiting to hit the road.

By the way where did you find the info on the location of the boat? I have been looking for that but can't seem to find it.

Ship Tracking

Here's the site where you can track the ship:

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html#search

You can track either by name or call sign (the Liberty's call sign is WRYX).

The site does not track ships realtime via GPS, but instead plots the ship's location only if they voluntarily call in their location to track ocean weather conditions. Luckily the Liberty seems to now be calling in every 6 hours.

BTW...I added the red line and arrow myself. The site only provides the location as a series of red dots.

dwj5, thanks for the info, I will now be obsessed with following my MINIs journey on its way to SC.

Speaking of obsessed is it just me or does that seem to be a theme after you get bit by the MINI bug?

Hope everyone's MINI arrives safely.
