no. many dealers are open when normal people are able to shop/need service. one i know of is open till 8 every night.

but d&r closes at 6, and 5 on saturday. and ALL indy dealerships are closed on sunday for some reason.

only those who think they are more important than you keep hours that force you to take time off from your job to pay them to do theirs...

Closing on Sunday is a gentlemen's agreement by the dealerships. I don't know the reason, but I am sure it has something to do with Indiana being a red state.

I've heard it's because of the blue laws. It's illegal to sell a vehicle on the sabbath. Ferinstance, the Harley dealer is open on Sunday, but they can only sell clothes, chain powered wallets, booger picker gloves, etc..

***UPDATE***

For those still in wonder (thank you if you are), my MINI is on a truck which stopped in Kansas City today at 3:30 for a delivery, which is only 507 miles away from D&R. This is the first time I've actually been excited since I have an idea of where and when I will actually get my MINI! Yay! We're still hoping for Saturday pick up!

That's good news. How did you find out where the truck was?

I'm definitely interested to hear how this ends so please keep us updated

bolus, the sales manager at D&R informed me that the truck stopped today in KS. I have no idea how they know this, but I assume there is some sort of tracking info on the truck based on either GPS on the truck or MINIUSA information to dealers. I will say that I am glad the dealership is finally showing some chutzpah and is getting this thing straightened out.

They are probably using waggoner's trucking. If you had your VIN you could call them and track the truck.

Most likely stopped for some Ribs - your MINI was probably hungry from the long journey.

***UPDATE***

Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that my MINI will arrive tomorrow morning to D&R, will bre prepped and set to go. The bad news is that I am having the windows tinted, and they are telling me it takes 24 hours to dry, which means no pick up this Saturday. :( But, at least I know it will be there, and I am planning to pick it up next Friday evening or next Saturday morning.

Gah! that sucks that you have more waiting. Can you at least go by and see it to make sure that it is real?

Yeah, DrDiff is going to be kind enough to sneak some spy shots this weekend. It's like the golden ticket at this point.

Well MIB needs its weekly free bath. So.. I may as well snag a pix while I am there.

Now only if the rain will cooperate!

Sunny today and only the occasionally fluffy cloud. MIB got his bath but I couldn't find your MINI, because it was in the building and not on the lot. They don't let you in the back where the service bays are. Also there is a recieving bay just accross the street at D&R Infinity. So, your MINI could have also been there. I know that they unload all Infinity, BMW and MINI behind the Infinity dealer.

My MA, Richard, asked for your name but I only knew you as Mayim. He needed your name not NAM handle. He did tell me that a Dark Silver MCS was droped off the truck this week. It HAD to be yours, as there were no Dark Sliver MCS's on the lot.

NO MINI!!!!!

Guess what??? Those lying doodads at Dreyer & Reinbold are at it again. Apparently my car was not on the truck last week. They couldn't tell me where it is, but assure me that it will be here next Wednesday. I am so sick of this. I tried calling ask MINI to formally create a complaint, but they couldn't help me either. I just got home so I haven't researched who to call next, but I am so frustrated I don't even want to think about it.

Oh yeah, they told me they would discount the car some more for my troubles...go figure.

Oh wow that really really sucks. Are those your specs in your signature? Perhaps us NAM users can search around the various mini dealer websites for something in stock that matches your specs. Then you could fly out and get it or have it shipped to you?

I really wish we could help out in some way to get you through this and driving a mini

Just letting you know, the sixth car from the bottom i have test driven. Very nice, black roof, english panther leather etc. Only thing missing is xenons. It is also a dealer test-drive car, so it has a few miles.
