you're lucky! We called ASK MINI today and they said that we're at the port waiting for more MINIs to find a ship! No thanks on the yellow GTI... we're trying to get rid of our car too!!!

I am very happy to find out it is on its way. It's too bad it is not on a WW ship, though, because I'm not able to track its every move. And, this ship, the Ingolstadt, doesn't seem to send any position info for the SailWX.info site. I guess I'll just have to wait for that call to say "come get it!"

 

I'm in the paint shop today...what comes after that?

 

After I was in the paint shop, my car was "released to carrier". So it seems like it's waiting to get on a boat! I'm going to call today and see if I can find out what boat I'll be on :D

 

Yeah, she called the dealer today to get the VIN.

Then she somehow checked what ship it is on.

It was sitting at the port waiting for a ship since Thursday.

I now have to get her to sign up on this site, she says she reads the posts but that's about it.

Hi everyone, first post here. I've been reading this thread anxiously, and just now got my account activated on NAM. I've been scouring booking numbers on the WW site looking for my baby, since the VIN still isn't showing in the system. I emailed my MA today and he said its due into Charleston on the 21st. He said he got that info of the WW site, but from what I've read, there aren't any of the WW ships due on the 21st. So anyways, I'm here with you guys... I can't wait to take delievery. I currently have a 2002 Cooper and when I got that one, I didn't track it because I lucked out and got one that someone backed out on at the last minute. So I'm driving my friends and family nuts this time around.

 

The Courage is due on the 22nd in Charleston. It's arrival in NY was pushed back two days, which pushed everything else back a day, I think. So maybe this is the ship with your MINI?

We've been at the port waiting for a ship as well, but we're going to the west coast. You guys on the east coast make me sick... You get your MINI earlier than we do! J/K I'm just jealous that you're sail across the pond is shorter than ours... don't listen to my rants! Anyways, welcome!

 

Hi everyone! This is my 1st post on NAM. My wife and I ordered Winston, a Dark Silver MCS on April 20, and was told on Saturday, by MA, he went into production on May 10!...so I guess he's a week 19er. No VIN# yet, no idea which ship it's going on...time to bug the MA some more, I suppose. We're looking at a mid-June delivery. It's going to be a L o n g month.
LOTS of info on this forum to absorb...

If you made it onto the Courage, you're likely a week 18'er since the Courage left on May 6th. There's lots of tracking information for the Courage in that thread.

If the Courage left on the 6th, there's no way I'm on it. I think mine was finished around the 9th. My VIN still isn't showing on the WW site. Argh!

 

I wouldn't worry too much -- My VIN didn't appear until three days after the boat's departure.

Just found out from ask MINI that once they release to the shipper, the MA will have the info and the status of the MINI. ASK MINI gets second hand info from that point forward. Still waiting for a ride across the pond...

 

Hey, does anybody know when your car's status changes in the Owner's Lounge from "2006 CHILI RED COOPER S"? As much as I wouldn't mind getting a shiny red car (I could probably get the price knocked down or get some free accessories from the dealer), I ordered an astro black

I'm just thinking there might have been a bit of a mix-up, because my dealer accidentally charged me for TWO down-payments instead of one. Maybe the duplicate order went through or something.

Actually, I'd call your MA or ask mini, but I know the website sucks for updating things... It took at least 2 weeks for the site to update our info...

 

This is my first time posting here and I'm very excited!
I was complete on May 8. I just spoke with MINI and they gave me my VIN and said I was on a ship. I'm in MD on the right coast so they tell me I'll be coming into NJ and if I find out what ship I'm on I can log onto the ship's website and track each step. Guess finding the ship is the next step. Way cool!
