Really? I thought it was the Don Carlos... very close. I'm with you. Put a call in to Niello to find out what ship we're on... if that info is available. Do you want to track it and watch it come through the panama canal?

Ack! My VIN still doesn't show up on the WW site. Could those of you who are on the Manon report back with the Booking Number so we can see all of the VINs on the ship? Also, when were your cars completed?

I was just reading the thread about the reasons not to get a Cabrio. Im tired of being practical. Practical isnt fun! Now I might regret saying that when the kids are yelling in the back seat because the wind is in their eyes. I think if I drive real fast, I wont be able to hear them. Hannah will love the attention and Noah will find something mischievious to do. Boys will be boys. I need to call Ask Mini now. Its been a few hours.

Using incredible trickery (starting with my VIN and reducing the number by one each time) I found these booking numbers:

MANON: GBSOU421559 (South Hampton to NYC)
MANON: GBSOU421552 (South Hampton to Halifax)
LIBERTY: GBSOU421568 (South Hampton to Charleston, SC)

(I'm not obsessed, really)

Good job Ryan... very creative! Too bad you're not on the ship out to the west... Our VIN isn't showing up on the WW site either, but its probably because it hasn't been released to the shipper yet!

Talked to our MA today and she doesn't have any new info or inside info than I have. I think I know more than her! She said that most all the west coast is done through NYK, so we'll have to wait some more!

NO worries... they can suck it up or ride with me! There are some issues with cabrio, but you'll do just fine!

EDIT - Do we have a booking number for Don Carlos yet?

oh damn, I remembered the name of my ship...

Don Quoijote.... I just checked the ship status, it's arriving at Port Hueneme 05/16 so that means our car won't be on the same ship Swedish!

Beagle - we called this morning, completed 05/10 and we're at the port, but no ship info yet... Hopefully we can catch a ride on a ship that's leaving Saturday (Don Coyote) or something else...

i e-mailed our ma and she said we actually completed 5/10, too (a little difference always between askmini, owner's lounge and the ma...). she said she was pretty sure we'd be going on nyk line but didn't have any detail yet. if i hear anything i let everyone know since we'll all likely be on the same vessel - but i can't figure out why their ships don't show up on the southampton shipping website, except for an occasional container ship....:impatient

Now they're saying I'm on the Liberty instead of the Manon. Won't leave Southampton until the 14th now!

Hi,

This is my first post and my fiancee has decided to get a Mini and now it is sitting at the port awaiting a ship. We are very excited and have called everyday to find out updates. :impatient

I work on Ferraris and had a lot of fun on the test drive of the Mini Cooper S.

Thanks, I will try and help out if anyone has some tech questions too.

I work on Ferrari/Maserati and next to us (in the same building is BMW).

Well, I still have no tracking info. But, I did notice that the tracking info for the Manon to NY that had listed 229 cars earlier today now only lists 108 - and the ship has sailed. So, my next chance is the Liberty. The tracking info for that booking number has mysteriously increased by about 40 cars since earlier today...hmmm...C'mon - add one more - mine!

Booking numbers:
GBSOU421561: Liberty to NY
GBSOU421568: Liberty to Charleston

Ryan, have you found the booking number for the Don Carlos? I popped our vin into the system and we don't show up on anything. I know that bad boy sets sail tomorrow for Charleston and then Port Hueneme... Hoping we can catch a ride on the Don...

ok, now i'm guessing since it looks like that don carlos left without us.

judging by:

-everyone says nyk is the likely line for west coast deliveries
-the folks from the prior week production ended up on the centaurus leader (nyk line)
-nyk line ships coming to the west coast call port in zeebrugge just before they get to southampton

my guess (subject to change) is:

the pegasus diamond (nyk line). due in zeebrugge on 5/14, would put it in southhampton 5/15, depart southampton on tuesday 5/16.

Beagle... I think you're correct there! The Don has left us at the port or else where. Nothing new from the automated system or website for us. Looking to score a ride here quickly across the pond. Swedish is getting a little impatient as the time goes on!

Hang in there Swedish -- we'll get our MINI soon. On that note, anyone know someone who wants a Nissan Murano? We're still trying to sell ours...

I still have no tracking info from WW, but my MA emailed me this morning to let me know that my car is on a ship heading to Charleston and is due to arrive at the port on the 21st! I'm waiting to hear back about which ship it is on, but it almost has to be the Don Carlos. Yay!

Um, so, would anyone want a yellow GTI?...

Update:

My MA emailed me back with the ship's info.

It's not on a WW ship, it's on a K-Line ship. The Ingolstadt. Due to arrive in Charleston on the 24st, with possible delivery by the 27th (probably, not, though).

K-Line? I've not seen that name pop up in the forums. Here's the page with the schedule: http://www.kline.com/PCC-RoRo/Schedu...ticShuttle.asp
