This is a tad late...

Hi there, MINI lovers. I've enjoyed reading posts here this past year and a half! I never did post a hello...in fact I forgot my login and pword.

Ahh well. My MINI was born under a dark star and has recently been bought back by the company, so I'm moving on. How sad! I didn't even get out of First Gear (or is it Nuetral?)

Happy Motoring, gang.

Sorry to hear you're leaving, but perhaps you'll be back with another MINI one day.

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad MINI experience. What went wrong?

Well, my little car was at the dealer in Sacto for many, many days on several occasions. The Xenon headlamp assemblies kept failing, so the lights would only shine about 8 feet in front of the car They replaced 4 assemblies in 6 months, and with no real diagnosis, I just figured it was a safety issue I couldn't live with. Plus, the fabric roof was replaced due to holes; rear side windows were replaced, window regulators, etc, etc. Lots of issues. I think I was in a loaner car for a total of 5 weeks. And the buyback process was really not a good one. Very bad communication between the dealer, MINI, and me. My replacement was sitting in the showroom with my name on it, but I felt like I got yanked around again by someone working at the dealer, so I took my check and bought something else.

But I DO miss that little car!

Sorry about your horrible experience. Cannot blame you for getting something else. Enjoy your new ride!
