Mini for the new driver

Hi,

I am a new driver at 40+, and have just ordered a MINI S for my first car. What are your thoughts on the MINI for a first-timer?

It will have the Nav system, cold weather, convenience and sport packages, park distance control, on board computer and IPOD adapter (a real necessity).....

I think it's an excellent car for a 1st driver. Our daughter learned to drive in the MINI (standard trans, not auto) and it's all she drives. She's taken the company vehicle (Expedition) out a couple times but thats all. She loves the MINI and it's great handling capabilities, she can really feel the road. She has to pay attention because it's a stick, no wondering attention while the car takes itself down the road as if on auto pilot. Even though you're not 16, being a first time driver in your 40s is cause for celebration and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than in a MINI!!! Congratulations on both occasions!!!

Welcome to NAM and congrats on choosing a MINI

Great car to drive

One problem....you will become adicted to driving and feel you have to make up for lost time.

Welcome to the world of MINI, soon to be an obsession!

The MINI is a great car to start out on. Nimble and peppy. You'll be sure to handle it well in all situations without a problem.

Congradulations!

Cheers,
Drew

A GREAT car that you'll never want to stop driving. The last time we set out to buy a loaf of bread we ended driving 75 miles before we stopped. And I'm NOT kidding. You'll understand once you get your MINI.
