Dealer programmable options for 2006 MCS

Have the programmable options changed for the 2006 MCS? The listings of options that I can find have not been updated in a very long time and do not say whether they cover 2006 models. I'm going to be picking my HB/B MCS up pretty soon and my MA only gave me a very short list of options that can be programmed (only 3 or 4 items). Any '06 owners know what the real dealer programmable options are for an '06 model MCS? Also any suggestions/experiences to relate?

I'm in the same boat as you are. My MA sent me a list of 4 things that could be programed. I took what I wanted off of the MINI2 list & sent them off to the MA. I'm hoping they can do them all. Guess I'll find out next week. My fingers are crossed.

Here are the options I was told were availible.

Here are the options you can opt for: central locking, auto locking after start up, auto unlock after engine off, comfort and convenience, unlockin after removal of key, daytime running lights, acoustic warnings: fuel.

Here's what I'd like programed.

Here are the options I'd like placed in the cars memory:

Unlock after removal of key.

One press on remote to unlock drivers door, second press to unlock the remainder of the vehicle. If that can be done.

Open both windows with remote. If that can be done.

Low fuel acoustic warning.

Headlight courtesy delay aka Follow me home lights set to 40 second delay. If that can be done.

I don't want the following:

No - Daytime running lights.

No - Auto locking, other than after the key is removed.

I have not found a 2006 owner's manual online, but you should look at the 2005 manual: https://ol.miniusa.com/publications/...IAllModels.pdf.
Page 6 shows the icon used in the manual to indicate Vehicle Memory. Go through the entire manual and look for all the places that have the icon.

The only difference I have found so far for 2006 is that if you have automatic headlights (part of the Convenience Package), the light sensor can now be set to either more sensitive or less sensitive setting.

Have you gone through the 2006 owners manual and found that that item above is the ONLY memory item different from the 2005 online manual?

I'm trying to find out whether the convenience item of Holding Remote Control Open Button on a convertible can be set to open the top. It kinda looks like they took this option off for the '06 model.

I'm also curious to see if the audible warning for low fuel level is user changable (via the dealer's programming). Has anyone changed this setting on their '06 MINI?

My post #23 in that thread is my latest information. When I was at the dealer, they did offer to turn on convenience opening. I didn't ask whether it included the convertible top, but I assumed it did. I declined because I have read here and on MINI2 about a few cases where owners went out to their car and found it unlocked with the windows down and (for convertible) the top down. Nobody has been sure whether these cases are from the key being pressed accidently (e.g. while in a wallet or purse) or a malfunction. It is an option I have some interest in, but I decided to be cautious.
