Mine had 'em, didn't order anything special (06 MC).
It would be nice if there were a way to give you an open power source, so that you could hook up whatever you wanted, like maybe an intercooler sprayer?

RealOEM shows radio/telephone controls for builds 1/2005 and after, and just radio control for 8/2004 up to 1/2005 build.

You have to change the RealOEM model year car selection in to see the different parts show up.

If you want to get rid of the telephone buttons, you should be able to purchase the steering wheel part #61316957302 and replace just that piece. The parts list shows the new and old versions to use the same connecting harness.

That's quite easy with mikeythemini's MFSW relay, which installs on the harness going into the stereo. There is a 12v aux power line right there. What you end up with is a wire that has 12v when the phone button is pressed and 0v when not. Or it can be configured to toggle between 0v/12v each time the button is pressed. On my car, I just happen to connect the output wire to my rear view camera. And yes, it has been suggested on MINI2 to use it for controlling NOS.

Thanks for the links to the MFSW relay, that's what I was searching for. Here's what I'd like to do: make the top B/T button change the Mode and the bottom one for the "Inf" info button so that I can see the artist & song name on XM.

Has anyone installed this relay thing? How does it work, do you feel it was worth the cost?
