Why MINI's are so important!
Why MINI's are so important!
I was reading an article on a tech site which has nothing to do with MINI or NAM. However, they mentioned the automotive market and it suddenly occured to me that the bold statements made by the author were coming true. and I quote:
"We are becoming a generic, vanilla society. You can see it in the car companies--how many of us can, at a glance, tell the difference between cars today?"
This statement alone makes me appreciate the MINI even more! If you'd like to read the full posting, here's the link.

It's great that the MINI community thrives on you-ifying their cars; making them unique and individual. Every MINI out there has character.
Loads more character than 90% of the other cars out there on the road. And that is before you even start to mod your car!
That's what makes MINIs so great, the uniqueness.

Most cars today you see....Saturns, Hondas, Toyotas... are just transportion to get from point A to point B. And they ARE starting to look all the same. The car commercials on TV are boring. Each time I see a car ad I say to myself, "That does nothing for me." Of course, I've been spoiled by owning a MINI which just screams "FUN TO DRIVE." I also know this from the smiles and comments I get from folks that see my MINI on the road.
No vanilla flavor here.

And that's why I passed on the new GTO. Powerful car, handled well, but indistinct in it's styling. Too bad. And that's also why some of the Jags look like a Taurus. Ugh.
