Buy on the internet?

Is it possible to buy one of these cars on the internet? Such as one of those locating services or something?
Has anyone ever done this? Web sites?

I see that some people here have faxed there car orders to several dealers to get a good deal. I'm wondering if it would be possible to do this with out of state dealers too. I only have one dealer in my whole state.

Sure you can, bought mine mostly over the phone. I live in California but bought it from a NY dealer, better deal no Markup and no wait time. Mini of the Hamptons, Jerry Halloran. Faxed papers back and forth or used fed ex for things that have to have original signature.

Yes, that is certainly possible and do-able. Check the vendor directory, there are some dealers and one buyer's service.

I grew up on Long Island. I see there are three dealers right were I used to live. Geeezz...

So how does this work? Do you pay for shipping or delivery? Do they deliver it to you through carrier or drive it to you.

Is there more info or maybe another thread that explains this a little more? What about taxes, who's state?

As you can see, I've got lots of questions. Just would like to have options when I go to the only dealer in town this coming week.

There's this thing called the "search" feature, located at the lower right of the banner at the top of the page. There have been many discussions of this, so shouldn't be too hard to find. Here's one to get you started:

I bought Caligula over the internet.. (I bought him preowned) The price I got over the internet was about 4000 less than the sticker on the lot.. He was perfect (cue violins) He was exactly the car I wanted in 2002 (minus the 4000 dollar dealer markup.) I ended up in purgatory driving a Toyota Celica GTS for about 2 years until our paths crossed..
If you find an orphaned MINI, don't pass it by. The 4 year 50,000 mile warranty is FULLY TRANSFERABLE) You may find what you want in a preowned vehicle and save some $$$$$ for mods..........
Just my 2 cents....
