Just got an email from my MA. Looks like my MCS shipped on March 31st and is due at Port H in CA on April 21st. Incidentally, AskMINI changed to "In Transit" on April 1st and OL is still at "Awaiting Carrier".

My MA doesn't have the name of the ship - just the Bill of Lading number and the fact that it is an NYK Line ship.

So, my MSC was at the dock in Southampton from around March 19th (completed on the 18th) to March 30th (assuming it took them a day to load the ship and sail away).

Thanks Suzannne... the "NKK" bit was a typo; my MA did say "NYK". So, the Orion Diamond eh? Sweet...

Does it show up here with the bill of lading number?
http://www2.nykline.com/ct/containerSearchForm.nyk

It might not since this is for container tracking.

No, it doesn't. Incidentally, the Bill of Lading number is 620990175.

Here is a pic I found of the ship so you know what to look for on the panama canal webcam:

Thank you!

Darn, just when I thought I could stop obsessing about my MINI and actually get work done until the 21st (then resume worrying about the VDC and the truck ride to Portland), you send me yet another tracking link...

Haha! The obsession just grows every day until you are flow blown crazy when it finally arrives (like me

More stuff:
It does not look like it reports the voluntary tracking data which is too bad
http://www.shom.fr/cgi-bin/meteo/dis...?callchx=YJXP6
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...tml?call=YJXP6

So it is a bit a guess work when it arrives in Panama. If you look through my thread (week 6 production) we left on 2/17 and arrived in panama on 3/1. That will give you a time frame.
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...&postcount=165

Check the AISlive on those days (free registration).
http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...ama%20Overview

Our ship sat waiting a day before it went through the canal so you have a window to find it and watch it start moving on the webcam. I watched it go through live. Very cool.

Then once it hits the US and leaves the VDC you can track the trucking company here:
http://www.waggonerstrucking.com/e-business/index.html
Though the VIN tracking wasn't (and still isn't) working so you may have to email them.

Jeez... that's a whole lot of digging around you've done. Thanks for all the links! I just hope my boss overlooks my dismal productivity for the next few weeks!

And you were the one that said that the wait was so agonizing that you wished you were in a coma the last three weeks.

Yeah, I kind of got a little nuts there toward the end The worst part was not having an exact delivery date. Rasmussen just kept saying "we'll know more when it gets here" Well, duh! I know that. Toward the end I was probably spending an hour each day reading NAM, checking Mini OL and calling Ask mini each day for status updates.

In the end though it was worth it, and I think it made me love the car even more. Delivery day was such a cool day after all that time.

I read that your MINI took 21 days to get from Port H to Rasmussen - that's way too long! I am hoping that it'll be at Rasmussen by the end of April (supposed be dock at Port H on the 21st) and I can pick it up during the first week of May.

I drive by Rasmussen everyday on my way to and from work and will make it a point to drop in fairly often just to... hmmm... convey my anxiety to my MA.

Use the survey scores to your advantage. My MA made a huge deal about giving him all "5's" on the survey when I went in for delivery. He was really pushing it hard so it seems like it is a big deal to them. So mention that you'll give them all 5's if they can speed up the process (especially if you have dealer installed options) or get more info for you.

I also brought them 3 boxes of Krispy Kremes on my delivery day. The MA's were excited because they dont usually get lunch because of how busy it can be on weekends. That might be another good bribe

Any little bit to get that car in your hands sooner

Wow all these west coast swingers. Have any of the Midwesteners' cars shown up? I'm still in limbo between OL (Awaiting Transport) & askMINI (IN transit). MY MA says probably late April (crosses fingers).

I haven't heard back from my MA via email yet. Plan to call him tomorrow if I don't have a reply in the morning.

I am still in the same state you are. Midwestern with OL stating Awaiting Transport and ASKMINI says In Transit. Late April (the last week) would be ideal for me as my wife is out of town the first week of May and sneaking away for a day to pick up the MINI would be bext to impossible... so with my luck it will be ready the first week of May and have to sit there a week! :impatient

My MA just called me. Says I'm on WW into the Charleston VPC on 4/16/2006. He gave me a bill of lading number but I still cannot track the cargo on the WW site. So if that is correct, it appears I am on the vessel "Courage". Guess I won't be able to track it for the next 10 days, but at least it sounds like it may make it here by the end of April.

I wonder why you still cannot track your car then. You can usually see the status of the car on the WW site a few days before its loaded on the boat. I trust your MA's info it is just strange that certain cars in this thread are invisible to us.

Finally OL lists me as being ENROUTE. Still no word from WW site so I think I'm on NYK line to Charleston.

Same here. OL lists me as EN ROUTE! Yeah! Only 9 days until hitting my destination port!

Perhaps your on the WW Courage with my MINI and just can't track for the same strange reason I can't!

Yes, my MA was Josh. But I fgured the survey helps the dealership in general too... Not too sure how it works but it sure seemed important
