The Forum Helped

I want to thank the forum.

When I installed my springs, we could not figure out how to remove the tires. It turned out, as stated in the forum, that the tires were stuck on due to rust. Which I have since removed.

The forum stated to hit the tire with a piece of wood and a mallet. I did just that and after some pounding on the tires, it broke free.

I had thought Mini made a special tool. Thank you for not making me spend money for a mystery tool that does not exist.

I have found the forums very helpful...before I got my first MINI, a car was a car...you put gas in, it went. Heard funny noises? Took it to the shop...and so on.

Since the MINI, I have been very protective and want to know what each little sound and indiosynchrosy is...The forums have helped a lot... for those that are mech-snobs who got irritated by my ding-bat questions, I have no words...but for those that were patient and took the time to break it down for me, they're the best...

I'll keep reading, and as I gain more knowledge, maybe there will be a time when I will help a newbie out too. Mick
