Officially introduced...
Well, it's been about 7 months now since i've joined NAM and when i did, i wasn't an owner of a Mini Cooper. I was always fond of the car ever since it came out and when it was time for me to get my first car, i put it on the list to look into. The more i read up on it, the more i got interested about it, the more i saw it, the more i got excited about it
and at a certain point, the more i test drove it, the more i fell in love with it (ahahaha...). Now look, the first car i bought was a brand new 2005 Mini Cooper (non s) fully equiped and i was proud. Now that i think about it, i trashed out cars like the RSX, TSX, Mazda 6, WRX, and the new Audi A3 for the Mini Cooper, do i regret it, absolutely not, call me crazy, i don't care. This was the only car that many people don't drive around in, here in Montreal. I don't know anyone who owns one except me and the fact was, i didnt want a car that everyone drove around with.
So, now i own one, and here's what i think about it. I know it's not an S but insurance was gonna kill me for it, who cares, now that i think about it, i can avoid getting speeding tickets and burn a hole through my wallet. Anyways, when i drive the car around town it's a whole new world, apart from the way it drives and the performance and comfort, what i'm talking about are the looks that i get from people at all different genders and ages, WOW!...it's like owning a sports car, everyone turns around and looks and man do i love that, that's something i knew i was going to get with the Mini and not with the other cars i was looking into.
In the end, i owe it all to you, the members of NAM. I thank everyone of you. All those threads about the capabilities of the car, or experiences, or the stories, made my final decision. On a last note, i consider myself lucky to carry the British Racing heritage here in Montreal and share it with you all. Thank you.
