I was wondering what people usually got for a timeline from order to delivery. I placed an order for Baxter on March 3rd. Yesterday, March 8, on the Owner's Lounge I was moved from Ordered to "Scheduled for Production". Now I don't see a "In Production" only a "Awaiting Transport" section. So I was wondering how long will I probably sit in the "Scheduled for Production" section? Is my pace faster than normal and thus I won't have to wait so long for it, or is it normal to sit in my section for a month or so?

Also, I've seen a few people here who were able to tell when their Mini began production. How did you find out? Did you bug your MA?

Next, how do I figure out what "production week" I'm in?

Finally, how do you get those neat maps of where your mini is on the high seas? I've heard tale of something like; you take your vin # over to some other place (the shipping company?) and they supply the map, but as you can see I'm generally uninformed on the topic. Any help? I know I know...most of these can be answered by my MA, but I ask anyway. I guess it is the nervous jitters of an awaiting "parent".

• Human at Ask Mini says car is scheduled for production (Jan 27)
• Automated Ask Mini says car is in production (Jan 28)
• Human ant ask Mini says car has not started production but will on Feb 3 (Feb 2)
• Automated Ask Mini says car is in the paint shop (Feb 3)
• Automated Ask Mini says released to carrier (Feb 7)
• WW site states my MINI is booked on the Freedom and received at terminal (Feb7)
• MV Freedom departs Southampton, UK (Feb 13)
• MV Freedom docks in Charleston, SC Mini off loaded (Feb 28)
• MA called to inform our MINI is at the dealership and we will take delivery Saturday. (Mar 1)
• Took delivery (Mar 4)

Call 1 866 ASK MINI .That has more up to date info than the owner's lounge. My MA didn't tell me about it - I actually think that he might not even know ... hehe i found it here.

You can either get automated vehicle prod status with your production order number, or you can also speak to a person .. They're really friendly and know much more about where your car is than the dealer at this point anyway

they'll be able to tell you all about things until your car gets to the docks (i think .. ).. I'm now 'awaiting transport to the port of exit' '
