Production Week 12 - Support Group

Hi, I am starting this thread after a quick call to Mini USA confirmed my biggest fear. I was bumped from week 9 then 10 to week 12. I have already made reservations for the Dragon and now my car might not be here in time. I ordered a 06 MCS JCW CR/W with almost all options but not the nav. I did get the Areo Kit and Driving Lights to be installed at the port. If there are any other week 12 people the please post here.

I think I'm week 15, but it's too early to start a thread. Track your MINI says I'm still on order. Automated ASKMINI says, "Scheduled for Production with no production date". Humans at ASKMINI say that when they input my production # it kicks them out and they can't get any info for me. My MA says his last report shows me in production the 2nd week in April. So I'm a little confused. It's OK though, we've gone through this twice before and I know the drill. What I do know is this: I WANT MY MINI NOW!!!

We are currently in production with a completion date of 3/19. Does that make it a week 12? If so, then you are not alone.

When I called Ask MINI I was told my car was Week 12 production with a 3/24/2006 completion date. By my thinking you would be week 11. I was also told my date could change. I've deen hoping for sooner than later if there is a change but I really doubt that will happen. Thanks for the post!

go to miniusa.com > Contact & FAQs > email.
I sent an inquiry regarding what production week my order falls under. If you give them your order number, they'll be able to tell you.

good luck

Great News!! My Mini started production today at 4:29am. My MA aka Ed Simmons @ Flow Mini called to give me the news. He also had a VIN # for me. Ed said he would let me know more abiut my status tomorrow. Now I know my car is not the only being made today so where are the rest of you new owners for week 12?

I'm also supposed to be a week 14, but nothing definite yet. I'll start a week 14 thread with hopes that we're in it...or better yet, we'll get bumped up and have to start a week 13 thread

Well, I guess that this is a good place for my first post on NAM...Im a week 12er with completion date on March 25
British Racing Green/Cordoba beige MCSC
Premium, sport, convenience, and cold weather packages
OEM Nav (will it be version 27?)
Looking forward to getting the car, still wading through all of the threads on what is the best way to have XM and iPod in the cabrio with HK and nav...doesnt seem to be one clear answer
Anyway, Here's to happy motoring week 12ers!

I like your color combo I thought about getting that one also. My car is due to complete 3/24 and is in the paint booth today. I to love XM so I will be installing it in my MCS. The is a way to put your xm antena inside to base for the FM antena. Do a search and you will find a few good DIY guides. This will prevent scratching your paint. What city is your car being shipped to? Our cars might be on the same ship.

Week 12

I was hanging out in "week 13" but someone pointed me at "week 12" since by build-by date is 3/24. That's TODAY! I guess I'll have to check in later this afternoon to see if it happened. I already have a VIN number for whatever that's worth.

This is my 2nd MCS, and replaces the former one. At only 78000 miles, the non-routine maintenance on it was averaging $250-275/month. It wasn't that it needed maintenance every month, but spending $750 on it once a quarter averages $250/month! Parts are as high as a BMW or Mercedes, as is labor... but my car only cost $23k when new! It likely needed $3000 more in repairs at trade-in (it's already gone). I figured that rather than putting that kind of money into it and having a car that was worth the same amount, I may as well drive a new one for a year and have NO maintenance $.

I just want it to last as well as my $9500 '95 Neon ACR ('94 build/delivery) did. Is that too much to ask? That Neon is now at about 257,000 miles and still clicking them off...

Order Details

I just found in another forum that if the Owner's Lounge Order Details page isn't showing your order details, if you view the page source in your browser it sometimes has the details embedded in there even if the page is blank.
view menu -> source
You have to sort throgh a little code garbage, but it's there, copy it into MS Word and you can clean it up with a little search and replace...
MY expected delivery date got moved up from 29th to 26th, too bad the dealer is closed tomorrow...

My Mini is waiting to be put on a ship to Charleston, SC. By looking at the schedule at the shippers web site I think the next ship might leave for the USA on 3/30/06. I hope I'm wrong and it's sooner. It will take around 13 days to cross the Atlantic.

tracking

What do you type into the web page, the whole VIN number? I've not been successful with that.

How to find call sign?

Hello all-so i found out that the WW Patriot on which many of our week 12s are on left southampton today heading for new york then on down the coast-the voyage is EB612-PAT
Ive looked in the threads to find a way to track the ship and I can't seem to do it! Having trouble finding the call sign I think is my first problem-any suggestions?

WQVY is the Patriot's callsign.

My car was supposed to be on it but isn't showing up as "loaded". First I was scheduled for the UNDINE, missed it, was scheduled for the Patriot, and now it looks like I missed it too. I've been at the dock for OVER TWO weeks now :( Doesn't seem fair...
