another new, proud owner

hi all!

i recently purchased an 02 MCS, electric blue/white roof/white bonnet stripes and adore her already! i had no intention of modifying the car before i bought it---but somehow now that i have it i'm obsessed with it!

i'm on these forums all the time, reading about all the modifications people have done (even when i don't quite understand it all, as i've never been this into a car before)..it's addictive! the enthusiasm people have for these cars is also so cool.

also, curious to know if anyone here is from santa barbara as well...

It's not the car...its the people that this car attracts as owners
Welcome to the obsession!
Don't be in to big a hurry to mod. The car is great just as it is, and you don't want to mod just for the sake of moding.
Why Oh Why, didn't someone tell me this before it was to late.....now where was that list of additional parts I was going to buy for Mini.

Hi Trina:

Am also a new mini owner...bought my first after having rented it in 5/05...went for mandated oil change a week ago, and bought a new one! This one has the bells and whistles whereas the first, did not. Love them both though, and nearly cried leaving my first for the next. (Go figure that over a car!) Enjoy first, update later....

Happy Motoring!

Thanks for the welcomes!

Blizz, you're absolutely right, the car attracts the people!

Thanks to the both of you for the advice about not rushing into modding. I love the car as it is, and will try to ease into any changes.

congrats on the new car! i'd suggest leaving it alone for a little bit, til you get to know it really well, then decide what you want to change
