Awaiting Transit to Tate Mini

HI guys - I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with Tate Mini in terms of going from off the ship "awaiting transit" to actually at the dealership. My MA said end of February (landed in NYC 10 days ago) but when I spoke to a guy at ASK-MINI he said it usually takes 4-6 weeks. I'm not sure who to believe. Anyone who can share their experience would be greatly appreciated.

It usually takes a few days to get thru the VDC... then a little while longer to get to the dealership...

End of February sounds realistic... If not sooner

And so begins the WORST of the waiting

Bug your MA

The squeeky wheel gets delivered first. I think I lucked out and was only about 10 days from ship arriving to getting car. But that was pretty fast. All depends on if you're one of the first or last to get on a truck.

Your MA can pull up some info too, if they are willing. I'd definately let them know you want to know when you can schedule pick up though. But mine was not anywhere near 4 weeks.

Good luck! The wait is worth it!

Bug your MA! When my order tracking showed my car was @ the VDC it was infact already @ TATE MINI. So I say bug him! Although yesterday was a holiday your car is probaly at the dealer or very close.

weird that it takes that long...I wonder if it's a Tate thing..I hear nothing good about that place. My car took 7 days from ship to dealer and I'm not much closer than Tate would be. For the record my car landed in NYC on the 12th and showed up at the dealer on the 20th...okay, so I was wrong, it's actually 8 days.

The carmay be at the vdc getting some repair work done. call your MA and check. I lucked out and my mini was off the boat and at Sterling in a day, with delivery the following afternoon. Good luck!
