New to NAM with ebay '05 MCS

Hello everyone!

I just (1/20/06) put a down payment on an ebay score (I think anyway). It is a 2005 with ~5000 miles on it. It has the JCW package, LSD, Chrome Line Interior/cockpit, JC door sills, Carbon fiber hood scoop, premium package, sport package, Hramon Kardon sound system, cold weather package, black leather seats with gray inserts, anthracite interior surface, the 17" wheels that come on the convertible and the color is BLACK!

I should have it in about two weeks; I live on the Central Coast of California and the car is coming from Southampton NY.

Three questions: 1) Is a CAI need or even desirable with the JCW setup?
2) The car, by the pictures I saw, seems to be stock height. What is the best option for lowering this car while maintaining the ride quality?
3) Is there anything else I can 'tweek' to get a little more ponies out of this setup? I have never owned a car with a supercharger before!

Any other upgrade recommendations that are for street use and will not affect the reliability of the car would be appreciated.

BTW, I paid $29k for the car. Maybe a little steep, but with everything it has, I consider it a reasonable price. I am also having the windows tinted before they ship it to me.

Thanks for any input. I am glad to be a part of this community.

BTW, my other ride is a '97 840Ci...also BLACK on BLACK!

Welcome! and congrats

As to yourquestions ..
  1. You already got a CAI, the JCW CAI
  2. There are all kinds of aftermarket springs, you got to do some research or you could get the JCW suspension
  3. You already got the standard "first level" of mods. TO get more your going to have to spend some money, most likely for a better head, then headers, etc. See this thread. A lot of knowledble people talking in there
You might want to consider a bigger rear sway bar. Thats usually the first suspenion mod ppl do.
