Car Cover?

I want to get an outdoor car cover for my new MCSa. I'm cool if it's new or used but just looking for a good price. I've seen a few on eBay but wondering where else to look. (Someone suggested purchasing accessories from Classic Mini w/ the NAM discount so I'll check with them too.)

Thanks.

Also looking for a cover for my ride. Most of the ones on ebay are the non fitted ones. Occassionally you'll find a fitted one or the cool OEM MCS cover on ebay.

Try moving this to the Marketplace forum, you may just find someone on NAM looking to unload theirs.

yeah, this would be better on the marketplace... autogoodparts on ebay has genuine mini accessories... the mini car cover is nice... but i recommend that you cut the storage bag loose of the cover... I also found it annoying to have to unscrew the antenna all the time, so i just put a slit in to let the antenna stick out.

cover

what up! I bought two since I want to make sure that both sizes fit (although there was a guide for which one fits what) and they were $20 a piece. Since this will be my first week having the car cover on, I really dont know how tough or how well made it is. But $20 is a bargain. Hope this helps

I bought my car cover from Moss mini Duravent Car Covers
69.95 plus shippnig. My mini sit outside all the time, the cover is water repellant and how do I know this one morning with heavy frost on the car cover I took it off and up it in the shed when I got home that night put the cover out to put it on the car all the water rolled off the cover and into my shoes. (also when it rains you can see the water bearding up on the cover) it has not scratched the paint, do get some bunge cords that will hook into the two holes on the side of the cover to keep the sides from catching air and blowing off if you keep it outside.

i used a Moss Duratech cover on my miata for years. They have a 4 year warrantee, and that is about the life of them in my opinion. I sent the one back after it started to break down a little & they sent a brand new one.

I will probably get one of those for mine as well....

How do I move this to the marketplace forum? I don't see it listed in the FAQ. Maybe I should be on a remedial forum...

Send a PM to a moderator -- they are the only ones who can move threads. Alternatively, just start a new one in the marketplace forum...

I bought one from California Car Cover. They may be on the expensive side though.

Car Cover Value

Okay so covercraft and MINI car covers ~$200, or Pepboy/Wal-mart/Costco ~$20-$30. I know that the $200 ones protect from water/UV/dust and they lock but weigh 25lbs. are they really worth the extra cost?
Billie: No harm done just wanted you to get the proper response. Welcome to NAM

I bought inside and outside covers from OutMotoring in Ohio. They are OEM so they fit perfectly and a lot less expensive than your friendly MINI dealer.

Prior to cleaning out my garage, I bought the Mini Outdoor Car Cover for my MCSC. I have to say, while expensive (around $200), it really is a nicely built cover.

While I keep my little guy garaged now, I still use it when I need to leave the car at the airport -- helps me find my car easier as well

California Car Cover or Equivalent worth $$

I am going to order one for my new-to-me MINI from the CA Car Cover. My poker buddy has a T-bird and purchased his cover from there. Live in VA so good for the variety of weather. We had 50+mph wind gusts a few weeks ago and he said the cover never moved. I'm just waiting to hear if the regular MINI cover works for my MCS or if I have to do a special order. Good luck.

I considered buying the Mini outdoor cover but decided to pass as it's 25 lbs! I just purchased the Duravent Car Cover from Moss Mini. Thanks for the tips.
