Yup, got the silver roof, mirrors and u-stripe. Would love to see some pictures of yours to tide me over.

Noticed your upgrades, did you find the Alta Intake to be too "loud"?
Also, are you planning on replacing your pulley?

I would like to replace the pulley, but I'll tell you what, I have noticed that the car has more than enough power. And seriously, it's the suspension modifications that make the car better, not power. I'm slowely doing things but the rear sway bar has been the biggest thing. I'm working on lowering springs, rear caster adjustments and the M7 USS (once they send it to me). The air intake alone was just fine. As told by scott at central coast coopers. Wait 2500 miles before changing the engine stuff. I'm probably going to hit up the MTH software also.

I'm setting my car up though for more of an stx start. I love power and the stock mini has more than enough. Work on the suspension first, is my recommendation.

And in case you don't think I have a need for speed, I have a 90 ford mustang with 350 hp and lots of suspension mods. Lemme tell you the stock mini is just fine.

Sorry one more thing. Your first modification should be a whalen! Don't use that stock crap . I will never ever never go back!

curv872: Sounds like our MINI's could be buddies going down the factory line ... just got my VIN number this morning too, and moved to "Scheduled For Production" on the OL. Woohoo!

Welcome to the Checkmate club! I love mine. I got an Alta pulley and intake installed this weekend as a birthday present to me. The stock S is plenty fast, but the mods give it that extra boost.

Love the checkmate theme and the Blue/Silver combo should be great. Be sure and start a picture gallery when it arrives.

That's so cool, every day that passes seams like a week!
The anticipation is killing me!

Check out my gallery to see my previous car!
I miss it now, but I'm sure I won't once I receive my MCS!
